We are delighted to announce that Prof. Eric R. Scerri, renowned chemist, philosopher of science, and lecturer at UCLA, will join the distinguished lineup of plenary speakers at Cannizzaro 2026. A leading authority on the history and philosophy of the periodic table, Prof. Scerri is founder and editor-in-chief of the international journal Foundations of Chemistry and author of several influential works, including The Periodic Table: Its Story and Its Significance, A Tale of Seven Scientists, and the recent What Is an Element?. His contribution will add a valuable philosophical dimension to the congress program.
